Another Step Closer

Today was the visa appointment at the US Consulate, which was our last appointment of the trip. Now we wait for his visa, which should arrive on Thursday, and then we head to "new home" on Friday. We are enjoying our time here but are also anxious to be home.

We feel like we are settling into a routine here and are enjoying getting to know our son. His newest thing is hiding items for us to find. He walks up to us, squeezes his eyes shut (indicating we should close our eyes), runs off laughing with excitement to hide the item, and then laughs as we look, with even more excitement when we find the item. He is such a happy boy......although like most children doesn't like to get in trouble or be told no 😊

We went out with our guide for another group dinner tonight. This time it was to a dim sum restaurant, and it was delicious! One of the dishes we tried was chicken feet. I don't know that I would classify them as delicious but it was fun to try. As you would probably guess by now, our son needed to visit the bathroom at the restaurant......not once, but 3 times. On one of of the trips to the bathroom he got a little up close and personal with the urinal. He ran up to the urinal and basically did a pull-up to see inside......I really wish I could see these things first hand!

  1. Almost home! He sounds like such a sweet kid. Hopefully his obsession with bathrooms dies down a little.. oh well, at least it's free entertainment for him ;) Praying for your long trip home!
