We have been assigned a travel date of January 25th! We will start our trip in Beijing and then travel to his birth province for the official adoption. Then it is many trains, planes and automobile journeys to various provinces to complete government paperwork and attend government appointments. Luckily, there will be time for us to bond as a new family between these appointments.
Many people have asked about the weather. In Beijing it will be similar to the weather we currently have in Pennsylvania (cold) but in Guangzhou, our second stop, the weather is similar to Florida (60's and sunny). In total we will be in China for two weeks.
While we are waiting we have found a new love of crafting by making him small things for his room, like the bedroom sign below, and have been setting up small places for him to play throughout the house. We even refinished a small kids table and chairs that we found in Grandma Tina's basement.
Please continue to pray that God prepares his heart for all the changes that he is about to experience. He will be leaving the caregivers he has known for 2 years, his friends, familiar home and school just to name a few.
We are blessed at all the support and prayers that we have gotten during this journey and are excited to continue to share it with you. During our trip we will try to blog every day and will finally be able to post pictures of our son!
