We are forever changed

It is amazing how quickly life begins to change when a child comes. Although Luke is not in his new home with us yet, the effects of his expected arrival can easily be seen. Some of the most exciting physical changes can be seen in our home. Laura was shopping with a friend and found a felt storage bin that started the room make over process. Within a short time the room started coming together. Grandma Tina gave us a dresser that was Jim's fathers when he was a child to incorporate in the room. James spent hours refinishing it and replacing broken parts. It is so nice to have a memory of his dad in the room. Some of the other interesting changes is our shopping trips. Target is no longer a quick stop.  We now can not leave without looking at clearance clothing and talking about our excitement to meet our new son.
So when is Luke arriving? This is an answer we wish we knew. At this time we are praying for patience and know that He has perfect timing. We are currently waiting for the US government to approve a form to allow us to bring him home. Once this is done we will apply for our Chinese visas and book our trip. Our hope is to travel in January but may be as late as March (yes China is experiencing winter as well during these months).
Thank you so much for your continued support!

  1. Beautiful room. Only thing missing is a Bruce Lee poster. Let me know if you guys are ever interested in adopting a 42 year old Chinese-American male - Mitch
